EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. … Power management company Eaton today announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with Coremo Ocmea, a manufacturer of brakes and clutches based in Milan, Italy. The agreement gives Eaton exclusive rights to distribute the company’s full line of products in the United States and Canada, and creates a global industrial clutch and brake leader with a broad range of solutions for safe, reliable drivetrain engagement.
Coremo’s hydraulic and pneumatic caliper brakes complement the Eaton Airflex® product portfolio, which features disc- and drum-style industrial clutches and brakes. An expansion to Eaton’s current caliper disc brake offering, Coremo products allow Eaton to offer a wider range of pneumatically and hydraulically controlled brakes to its U.S. and Canadian customers.
“With a reputation for high-quality, long lasting products and responsive customer service, Coremo is a natural fit for us,” said Mark Reitz, global product manager for actuation and projects, Hydraulics, Eaton. “This partnership combines the technical acumen and field experience of Eaton and Coremo to bring safe, reliable caliper braking solutions to the market, and enhances the heavy-duty industrial powertrain expertise customers have come to know from Eaton.”
Established in 1960, Coremo is known for its meticulously designed hydraulic and pneumatic caliper brakes, as well as mechanical and electrical caliper brakes, hydraulic power packs and a variety of other products. With certifications such as ISO 9001 and ATEX, Coremo’s products are ideal for use in oil and gas, marine, mining, energy and industrial applications, as well as entertainment industry applications, such as theatrical stage machinery and amusement rides.
